Derrick Kim

Personal Experience

Derrick grew up in a Korean immigrant family who migrated to the US in the 1970s. From his parents, he imbibed the values of diligence, patience, and perseverance. He graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering and began his career at TRW Space & Defense, an aerospace company. Later, he worked in the wireless telecommunications industry, serving companies like Pacific Bell Mobile Services and AT&T Wireless Services.

In 2004, Derrick transitioned to the residential sector of real estate but eventually shifted his focus to commercial and business bulk sales. As a consultant, he has helped numerous small and medium-sized enterprise owners (SMEs), including both independent and franchisees, to connect with screened, qualified buyers. His efforts have resulted in successful exits for these business owners and provided the next opportunity for the buyers.
